Q: How does the TrueBlue Schools™ Program work?

A: For each GNG customer who enrolls at www.trueblueschools.com and selects a school, GNG will donate $5 for each month the program participant is an active GNG customer in good standing – up to $60 per year. New customers will also receive an additional one-time $40 donation.

TrueBlue Schools participants are also eligible for a guaranteed 5¢ discount per therm by choosing our Market Advantage Plan.

Q: What does my school have to do to be involved with the TrueBlue Schools™ Program?

A: There is no obligation or contract needed for the schools to be involved in the program. All your school has to do is submit a copy of the Form W-9 bank account information (Bank Name, Routing Number and Account Number) to GNG in order to receive donations.

Q: How do I promote the TrueBlue Schools™ Program?

A: The TrueBlue Schools™ website, trueblueschools.com has everything you need to promote the program. Visit the "Fundraising Tools" section to get ideas for promoting the TrueBlue Schools™ Program to your community, as well as a flyer that you can customize for your school.

Q: When will schools receive donation checks?

A: Donation checks are sent out quarterly, beginning in October 2008. These donations continue each quarter that there are active GNG customers in good standing enrolled in the Program who have selected your school.

Q: Are there any restrictions for the TrueBlue Schools™ Program?

A: GNG has developed this program to make participation easy with very few restrictions.

  • The program is open to all residential or commercial natural gas users in the GNG service area who are, or become, GNG customers
  • Participation is not limited to just parents - anyone within the GNG footprint can sign up (friends, grandparents, etc.)
  • Customers may choose any GNG price plan for which they qualify
  • Customers must enroll in the program at trueblueschools.com
  • As long as a customer is active and current with his or her natural gas account, GNG will continue to make donations
  • Donation payments are automatic and will be made quarterly

Q: Are there any restrictions on how the TrueBlue Schools donations can be used?

A: GNG does not restrict how schools use their donations. Schools can use the money however they see fit. Some suggestions on how to use the funds include purchasing computers, books or even playground equipment. You can even use the money to fund a field trip or a school prom. It's totally up to the school.

Q: Is there any limit as to how much money my school can receive?

A: There is no limit as to the amount of money your school can receive.

Q: Can I obtain a list of participants who designate my school?

A: No, participant information is confidential. GNG does not provide this information.

Q: Can I split my donations between two schools?

A: No, you cannot designate two schools. However, you can change your school at any time.

Q: Can parent groups receive the donations (instead of the school itself)?

A: GNG sends the donations to the attention of the school principal, made payable to the school. The school principal may make the decision to pass the funds along to other school organizations (i.e. Booster Club, PTA, etc.).

Q: How do I cancel my participation with TrueBlue Schools?

A: Send an email to support@trueblueschools.com with your name and GNG account number.
